About P2
P2 has been designed to provide opportunities for highly qualified professionals to serve on compelling, environmentally focused projects. These 11 month AmeriCorps positions offer participating organizations access to individuals with highly valued and specialized skill sets, such as GIS, planning and statistical analysis, grant writing, and other organizational capacity-building skills.
P2 is a program of Northwest Service Academy—Lower Columbia Center. NWSA services the stipend, workers compensation, medical insurance, educational award and training fund for each individual in the program. Participating organizations provide a $18,000 cash match towards the $37,000 required to place, train and support each participant.
A win-win situation is achieved by placing highly qualified professionals in an environment that allows them to transition into this promising field while contributing to the developmental needs of a small non-profit or a transitional program with a larger organization.
